Moxy Tbilisi is the first Moxy Hotel in the beautiful country of Georgia. Situated on grounds once destined to be a metro station, now the city youngsters and fun hunters gather for a drink in the roomy, light, locally designed lobby, bobbing their heads to the tunes of resident DJs.
The surrounding area makes for a perfect spot to start exploring Tbilisi. Saarbrücken Square, where the hotel sits, is close to one of the most famous streets: Agmashenebeli Avenue. It’s known for the 19th century buildings that nowadays house charming shops, nice restaurants and vibrant wine bars. Not strange, as Georgian wine is of excellent quality.
After a couple of glasses, you might have the urge to hit the dance floor. Tbilisi likes a party and one of the more purist clubs to emerge in recent years has been Bassiani. Dubbed by some as ‘the new Berghain’, it programs techno royalty like there is no tomorrow. The after party is, of course, back #atthemoxy. Be sure to snap an Insta with the pink hatted gorilla. No, we’re not gonna explain that.
