As the sun goes down, ride the elevator up to Magic Hour, New York City’s largest indoor/outdoor all-season hotel rooftop bar and lounge, featuring an “urban amusement park” with an adult sensibility and epic Empire State Building skyline views. Winterized for the colder seasons, you never have an excuse not to come play.

Perched 18 floors above the city, Magic Hour boasts five distinct environments. The gallery-like entrance hall features whimsical topiary animals in naughty positions. A small interior lounge has a sexy urban-industrial vibe, with wire mesh panels riveted to the ceiling and walls. There are two separate outdoor areas: The east side, overlooking the Empire State Building, has elegant garden-party fixtures, while the west is more overtly carnival-esque, with one seating area rotating slowly like an antique carousel.
Tucked into a corner is what’s bound to be the hotel’s most Instagrammed feature: Foreplay, a miniature putt-putt course designed by TAO Group, that, instead of windmills, has follies of colossal-size animals in flirty poses..
LIGHT BITES & ON ICE
A menu of shareable light bites is rooted in the world of the state fair, with modern takes on classics including Carnival Potatoes, Beet Deviled Eggs, and Cracker Jacks. An impressive list of decadent cocktails—along with beer, wine, Champagne, and spirits
PLAN YOUR EVENT
With 10,000 square feet of multi-purpose space, the rooftop is a perfect place for special events. Event planning, catering by TAO Group and advanced audiovisual services are available upon request.
